Chapter 1: The Wrong Door

Polly and Diggory met and became friends. They were the only children in the neighborhood. They live in a row of houses which are connected. They decided to have an adventure by going from one house to another using the tunnels. They ended up in a furnished room at Diggory’s house which they thought was empty. In front of the fire place was a high black chair. Caught surprise, the chair suddenly swung and there rose Uncle Andrew (Diggory’s uncle). Uncle Andrew offered Polly one of the bright yellow ring that glows and produces humming noise. Diggory shouted to Polly not to touch the ring but it was too late. Polly was gone in a flash.
